Some Twisted Dream

The Ink Slingers Guild (ISG) had some round-robin writing fun! We each wrote a sentence or two and then passed the paper to the next person who added to it and passed it along to the next person and on down the line. We hope you are as entertained as we!

The dark form of his silhouette neared her prone form, cleaver in hand.

He flicked on the light, running the rag over the blade. “I’m almost done making the bacon, wake up.”

As she arose with a smile, she realized she wasn’t being seen and her smile faded.

“Did I really have the invisibility shield running all night?” she asked, her voice echoing from across the room from the prone form on the floor. “Or is this the polymorph shield?”

“Doesn’t really matter to me since I can see through all types of shields, your skin, however, is not the color I expected.”
