The Ink Slingers Guild (ISG) had some round-robin writing fun! We each wrote a sentence or two and then passed the paper to the next person who added to it and passed it along to the next person and on down the line. We hope you are as entertained as we!
Brandon, having passed his to Lisa, wondered if she would continue breaking the fourth wall – that is to say break the illusion of story by acknowledging the reality o fit being written. Lisa grasped the paper in her hand, closed her eyes and said the incantation that would bring the most happiness; a dark shadow pulled away from the wall behind her, wings spreading wide. Desiree gasped as the beautiful creature appeared, hovering above them all, before looking back down to continue writing. Some things could wait. The creature stared down at the group of writers, who all continued to write furiously, completely ignoring its presence. It cleared its throat. Nothing. It tried again. Still nothing. “Seriously?” It finally spoke aloud. Nicole, having just read what the other Ink Slingers had written, thought long an hard on how to properly end the story, but when she drew a blank, she turned to the shadowy winged creature and handed it the paper and a pen.
